Save The Dates: Lilo & Stitch On Disney+, Clooney/Sandler Netflix Movie And More

The live-action Lilo & Stitch will arrive on Disney+ shortly after Labor Day.

The streaming service has confirmed a Wednesday, Sept. 3 release date for the box office smash. Per Disney+, the 2025 reimagining's "lush tropical settings provide welcoming visuals as warm as the 'found family' that Lilo and Stitch create together, while also authentically honoring the culture and beauty of Hawai'i."

The cast includes Sydney Elizebeth Agudong, Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, Hannah Waddingham, Chris Sanders, Courtney B. Vance, Zach Galifianakis and newcomer Maia Kealoha.

In other scheduling news...

Hot in Cleveland will join the Catchy Comedy lineup on Sunday, Aug. 31, with a 12-hour marathon (from noon to midnight ET). It will then air weeknights from 9-10 pm, starting Monday, Sept. 1 (aka Labor Day).

* Apple TV+ has released a trailer for Highest 2 Lowest, which marks the fifth collaboration between Spike Lee and Denzel Washington. Following a limited theatrical release, the move will start streaming Friday, Sept. 5.

* The first 13 episodes of Electric Bloom, the Disney Channel series starring Dara Reneé (Descendants: The Rise of Red) and Maia Kealoha (Lilo & Stitch), will begin streaming Wednesday, Sept. 17, on Disney+. The remaining Season 1 episodes will be released four weeks later, on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

* Noah Baumbach's Jay Kelly — a new movie starring George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Laura Dern and Billy Crudup — will begin streaming Friday, Dec. 5, following a limited theatrical release. Watch a teaser:
