Lopez Vs. Lopez Cancelled At NBC After Three Seasons

The battle is over: NBC has cancelled Lopez vs. Lopez after three seasons, TVLine has confirmed.

The axed series joins fellow NBC comedy Night Court, which was also cancelled on Friday after three seasons; TVLine's 2025 Renewal Scorecard has been updated accordingly.

Lopez vs. Lopez this season averaged 2.33 million total viewers (with delayed playback), right on par with last year but frittering away nearly half of its Happy's Place lead-in. Out of the four sitcoms that NBC aired this TV season, it ranked last in audience (right behind Night Court).

Its Season 3 finale, which will now have to serve as a series finale, aired Feb. 7. All told, 45 episodes were produced.

Lopez vs. Lopez told the story of a "working-class old-school Latino who moves in with his modern Gen Z daughter (played by George Lopez's real-life daughter Mayan) as they rebuild their dysfunctional relationship one argument at a time."

In addition to the titular duo, the ensemble included Selenis Leyva (Orange Is the New Black) as George's ex-wife/Mayan's mom Rosie, Matt Shively (The Real O'Neals) as Mayan's fiancé Quentin, Al Madrigal (About a Boy) as George's best friend Oscar, and Brice Gonzalez as Mayan and Quentin's son Chance.
