Mayor Of Kingstown Season 3 Trailer Promises 'Next Level' Drama For Mike & Co. — Watch
Mayor of Kingstown returns in June, and as the show's new trailer warns us: Season 3 is "next level."
The crime drama starring Jeremy Renner will return on Sunday, June 2. To get a sense of just how high-stakes the action is this time around, press PLAY on the full trailer — which Paramount+ released Thursday — at the top of this post.
In addition, take a look at the official Season 3 poster below.

Mayor of Kingstown's return will come about 18 months after star Renner was critically injured in a snowplow accident at his Lake Tahoe property. At the time, Renner underwent surgery for blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries, remained in the hospital for 16 days and told his Instagram followers that he'd broken more than 30 bones.
But during CNN's New Year's Eve countdown special last December, Renner told Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen that he was preparing to resume production on Mayor of Kingstown, saying, "I think I'm ready, I think I'm strong enough. We'll see... I literally go back in a week. But I'll be doing my best, trying my hardest."
According to the official logline, Season 3 of the show will find a series of explosions rocking Kingstown and its citizens, as a new face of the Russian mob sets up shop and a drug war rages on. "The pressure is on Mike McLusky (Renner) to end the war, but things get complicated when a familiar face from his incarcerated past threatens to undermine the Mayor's attempts to keep the peace among all factions," per the description.
As previously reported, Paula Malcomson (Ray Donovan), Richard Brake (Absentia) and Denny Love (Looking for Alaska) have joined the third season in recurring roles, while Michael Beach has been upped to series regular as police captain Kareem Moore. Dianne Wiest, however, will not be returning for Season 3 in her role as Mariam McLusky. Her departure was reportedly creatively driven. (As you'll recall, Mariam was shot in the stomach in the Season 2 finale.)
