Miley Cyrus 'Pop Opera' Coming To Hulu And Disney+ — Watch Trailer
Grammy winner Miley Cyrus is bringing something beautiful to a streaming service near you.
Miley Cyrus: Something Beautiful, a film tied to the music star's latest album, will debut on Wednesday, July 16, on Disney+ and Hulu in the United States and Canada. (The special will be available to watch on July 30 internationally.)
Per an official release, Something Beautiful is "a one-of-a-kind pop opera fueled by fantasy." It will feature 13 original new songs from the album of the same name, which was released in May. Watch a trailer below:
Miley Cyrus: Something Beautiful had a one-night theatrical release earlier this month in the U.S. and Canada. The film is produced by Cyrus, XYZ Films and Panos Cosmatos in collaboration with Sony Music Vision, Columbia Records and Live Nation. Cyrus directed the film with Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, who have directed several of her previous videos.
Last year, Cyrus became the youngest person ever to be named a Disney Legend. The former Hannah Montana star teared up at the D23 fan event where she accepted the award.
"In my heart, I was Hannah Montana. And I was so proud to be," Cyrus said on stage, fighting back tears as she reflected on her run on the four-season Disney Channel comedy, that aired March 2006 and January 2011.
"I stand here proud to have been Hannah Montana because she made Miley in so many ways," Cyrus continued. "This award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her loyal, amazing fans, and to everyone who has made my dream a reality."
