TVLine Items: Molly Parker Is Fox's Doc, Maya Rudolph And Natasha Lyonne's Hospital Cartoon And More
Molly Parker (House of Cards, Lost in Space) is scrubbing in as the titular MD in Fox's Doc.
Adapted from the Italian series Doc: Nelle tue mani, the forthcoming medical drama centers on Parker's "hard-charging, brilliant Dr. Amy Elias, Chief of Internal and Family Medicine at Westside Hospital in Minneapolis," according to the official synopsis. "After a brain injury erases the last eight years of her life, Amy must navigate an unfamiliar world where she has no recollection of patients she's treated, colleagues she's crossed, the soulmate she divorced, the man she now loves and the tragedy that caused her to push everyone away. She can rely only on her estranged 17-year-old daughter, whom she remembers as a 9-year-old, and a handful of devoted friends, as she struggles to continue practicing medicine, despite having lost nearly a decade of knowledge and experience."
Parker most recently guest-starred in an episode of the Fox anthology series Accused. Her previous credits include Netflix's Lost in Space reboot, and her Emmy-nominated turn as House Whip Jackie Sharp in House of Cards.
Doc is set to debut during the 2024-25 TV season. Parker's casting was first confirmed by our sister site Deadline.
