Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2 Sends Nicole Kidman To The Austrian Alps — Watch Trailer

A fresh group of Nine Perfect Strangers will get to know each other this May.

The Nicole Kidman-led drama series will be back for Season 2 on Wednesday, May 21, Hulu announced Thursday. The sophomore run will kick off with a two-episode premiere, followed by weekly releases on subsequent Wednesdays; the season spans eight episodes total.

Kidman will return as eccentric wellness expert Masha Dmitrichenko for Season 2, but the action will relocate to the Austrian Alps for the new episodes. Here's how the official logline describes the upcoming installments: "Nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are invited by mysterious guru Masha Dmitrichenko to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. Over the course of a week, she takes them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she? Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself."

New cast members for Season 2 include Annie Murphy (Schitt's Creek), Christine Baranski (The Gilded Age), Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus), Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians), Lena Olin (Alias), Maisie Richardson-Sellers (Legends of Tomorrow), Mark Strong (Dune: Prophecy), Lucas Englander (France's Parlement), Dolly de Leon (Triangle of Sadness), Turkish actor Aras Aydin (Cherry Season) and singer-songwriter King Princess.

Based on Liane Moriarty's 2018 novel, Nine Perfect Strangers aired its first season back in Summer 2021, with the expectation that it would be a one-and-done miniseries. But Hulu later opted to submit it in the drama series categories, instead of limited series, for the 2022 Emmys, indicating a potential Season 2 could be on the horizon; a second season was indeed greenlit in June 2023.

Hulu has also shared a handful of first-look photos from the new episodes. Scroll down to see them all, then drop a comment with your hopes for Season 2.
