Only Murders In The Building Season 5 Trailer Reveals Roles For 8 New Guest Stars — Get Premiere Date
Hulu is reopening the doors to the Arconia in September.
Only Murders in the Building will return with its first three episodes on Sept. 9. Following the Season 5 premiere, one new episode will drop every Tuesday, culminating in an Oct. 28 finale.
Last we left the "most murderous building in New York," beloved doorman Lester had been killed... Nicky "The Neck" Caccimelio, the dry-cleaning king of Brooklyn, had disappeared... and surprise guest star Téa Leoni was introduced as Nicky's wife, Sofia, who appeared before Charles and Mabel in search of her husband.
According to Hulu, Charles, Oliver and Mabel's investigation into Lester's death "plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond, where the trio uncovers a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia."
Along the way, the podcasters discover "a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew, and the new New York evolving around them — one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge."
The Only Murders in the Building Season 5 trailer, which you can watch below, confirms the returns of recurring cast members Meryl Streep (Loretta Durkin), Teddy Coluca (Lester the Doorman), Richard Kind (Vince Fish), Nathan Lane (Teddy Dimas), Téa Leoni (Sofia Caccimelio) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph (Detective Donna Williams) — all of whom join series regulars Steve Martin (Charles-Haden Savage), Martin Short (Oliver Putnam), Selena Gomez (Mabel Mora) and Michael Cyril Creighton (Howard Morris).
The footage also offers a first look at franchise newcomers Beanie Feldstein; Bobby Cannavale, who it would appear has been cast as Nicky Caccimelio; Jermaine Fowler, who plays an Arconia doorman; Keegan-Michael Key, who has been elected Only Murders' mayor of New York City; Dianne Wiest as Lester's widow, Lorraine; and Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz and Renée Zellweger as Jay Pflug, Bash Steeg and Camila White — three of the richest people in the world.
