Save The Dates: Rick And Morty Season 8, Stranger Things Documentary And More
April Fools' Day brought good news for Rick and Morty fans: Season 8 of the animated Adult Swim comedy will premiere Sunday, May 25 at 11/10c.
The date and a teaser (watch above) were released as part of the show's traditional April Fools' Day broadcast special.
The surprise 22-minute anthology special, "featuring fan favorite Rick and Morty moments re-told through an Adult Swim lens of absurd, live-action, theater-based genres," can be viewed below.
In other recent scheduling news...
* Chief of War, a new Apple TV+ drama starring, executive-produced and written by Jason Momoa, will debut with its first two episodes Friday, Aug. 1, followed by a new installment every Friday through Sept. 19. Based on true events, the nine-episode series chronicles the unification and colonization of Hawai'i at the turn of the 18th century, with Momoa playing warrior Ka'iana.
* The Motherhood, an unscripted series created and hosted by Connie Britton (The White Lotus, Friday Night Lights), will premiere Monday, May 5 at 8 pm on Hallmark Channel, with its first two episodes. One new installment will then air every Monday at 8 pm through June 2.
* Tires Season 2, starring Shane Gillis, will premiere Thursday, June 5 on Netflix.
* Behind the Curtain: Stranger Things: The First Shadow, a documentary about the making of the West End stage play, will drop Tuesday, April 15 on Netflix. Watch a trailer:
