The Buccaneers Renewed For Season 3 At Apple TV+
Apple TV+'s historical drama The Buccaneers, which is inspired by author Edith Wharton's unfinished final novel of the same name, has been renewed for Season 3, TVLine has learned.
"We couldn't be more delighted to be lacing up our corsets, slipping on our ball gowns and running breathless across the cliffs of Tintagel for the third time to see what passionate adventures our beloved Buccaneers get up to next," series creator Katherine Jakeaways said in a statement. "Huge thanks to Apple TV+ and also to the devoted viewers for loving the show as much as we do."
In the first season of The Buccaneers, "a group of fun-loving young American girls exploded into the tightly corseted London of the 1870s, setting hearts racing and kicking off an Anglo-American culture clash," reads its official description. "Season 2 saw these American whirlwinds battling love, heartbreak, motherhood, jealousy and the full force of the English legal system. In Season 3, our Buccaneers are fighting back. And they're doing it together. When they arrived in England they were all navigating their first loves. Now, they're looking for the loves of their lives. And with a new and enigmatic Duke at the helm, Tintagel is also facing an uncertain future. If polite English society thought our American girls rocked the boat, this new bad-boy Duke is about to sink the ship."
Season 2 starred Kristine Frøseth (Looking for Alaska), Alisha Boe (13 Reasons Why), Aubri Ibrag (Dive Club), Josie Totah (Saved by the Bell), Imogen Waterhouse (The Outpost), Mia Threapleton (Dangerous Liaisons), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl), Grace Ambrose (Here Now), Maria Almeida (Gangs of London), Amelia Bullmore (Vienna Blood), Fenella Woolgar (Call the Midwife), Guy Remmers (Lessons), Matthew Broome (My Fault: London), Josh Dylan (The End of the F***king World), Barney Fishwick (House of the Dragon), Greg Wise (Sense and Sensibility) and Jacob Ifan (Rogue Heroes).
Jakeways (Tracey Ullman's Show) also serves as writer and executive producer. Additional EPs include Beth Willis and Joe Innes.
