The Masked Singer Season 14 Won't Air This Fall — Find Out Why

The Masked Singer is taking the rest of 2025 off.

For the first time since it launched in 2019, Fox will rest the veteran reality competition series and forgo a fall cycle. As a result, Season 14 will not premiere until early 2026.

"This juggernaut will return next year for Season 14 as it takes midseason by storm with a spectacular, super-charged new season," a Fox spokesperson tells TVLine. "Debuting the new season in January is a strategic move to give ample runway for America's favorite guessing game, and allow us to creatively look at enhancing the show with the biggest names at the center of it."

The Masked Singer launched as a midseason replacement in January 2019. Since Season 2, which launched that September, the series has produced two cycles each year — one for fall, the other for spring. It was one of broadcast TV's last remaining unscripted shows to commit to two seasons a year, along with CBS' Survivor and NBC's The Voice.

Fox is set to reveal its 2025-26 lineup on Monday, May 12, at which point we'll find out if a new or returning show will claim The Masked Singer's Wednesdays-at-8/7c time slot.

Are you disappointed that you'll have to wait until January to watch Season 14 of The Masked Singer? Or is scaling back a good idea to keep the show fresh? Drop your thoughts in a comment below.
