The Paper To Air On NBC This Fall After Peacock Debut — See What Else Is Joining NBC's Fall Schedule
Extra extra! Read all about it! The Paper is following in The Office's footsteps and airing on NBC!
Peacock's The Office spinoff, which debuted on the streamer earlier this month, will get a second airing on NBC, beginning Monday, Nov. 10 at 8:30/7:30c, the network has announced. It'll be paired on Monday nights with St. Denis Medical, which returns for Season 2 a week earlier with a two-episode premiere.
"Knowing how much The Office was beloved by a broadcast audience when it aired on NBC, we wanted to give The Paper a similar opportunity to connect," NBCU Entertainment's president of scripted programming Lisa Katz said in a statement. "One of the strengths of our company is meeting fans where they are by delivering shows across multiple platforms to maximize exposure and engagement."
The Paper — which sees the same documentary crew from The Office now following a failing newspaper in Toledo, Ohio, with Oscar Nuñez reprising his role as accountant Oscar — premiered on Peacock on Sept. 4, with all 10 episodes dropping at once. Peacock has already renewed it for a second season, touting it as the second-highest comedy premiere in the streamer's history, behind only Ted. Additionally, NBC will unveil the new cheerleading comedy Stumble, starring Jenn Lyon and Taran Killam, on Friday, Nov. 7 at 8:30 p.m., following the Season 2 premiere of the Reba McEntire comedy Happy's Place. The single-cam comedy is described as "a mockumentary about the ridiculously high stakes competitive world of junior college cheer."
