The Ultimatum: Queer Love Cancelled At Netflix After 2 Seasons
Netflix is splitting up with The Ultimatum: Queer Love.
The streamer has cancelled the LGBTQ+ dating series after two seasons, TVLine has confirmed. (Variety first reported the news.)
An offshoot of The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On — which has already been renewed for a fourth season at Netflix — Queer Love put five couples made up of women or non-binary people to the test, having them choose new potential partners for a trial marriage to see if the new partner is a better fit. Then they would reunite with their original partners before making a decision: get engaged to their original partner, move on with the new partner or leave single.
Debuting in 2023 with a 10-episode freshman season, The Ultimatum: Queer Love returned for Season 2 this June. JoAnna Garcia Swisher was the host, with Love Is Blind creator Chris Coelen serving as creator and executive producer. (Both Ultimatum shows play like a sister show to Love Is Blind, with the daters drinking out of silver cups instead of Love Is Blind's signature gold cups.)
