Fox News Schedules Trump Town Hall Opposite CNN's DeSantis Vs. Haley Debate

Fox News has announced that a live town hall with former President Donald Trump will air opposite the fifth Republican presidential primary debate on CNN.

Both events are scheduled to take place in Des Moines, Iowa and air Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 9/8c — five days out from the Iowa Caucus.

Fox News' Trump town hall will be moderated by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum, while CNN's GOP debate will be moderated by Dana Bash and Jake Tapper.

CNN previously confirmed that Trump, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley have qualified for the Jan. 10 debate, to be held at Drake University in Des Moines — but only DeSantis and Haley will participate.

Three other GOP candidates — former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy — failed to meet the 10% polling threshold to appear on stage.

Additionally, ABC News will host a sixth debate, to be moderated by David Muir and Linsey Davis and air on Thursday, Jan. 18 at 9 pm. It will be hosted at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, N.H. That will be followed by a seventh debate on CNN, hosted at New England College in Henniker, N.H., and airing on Sunday, Jan. 21.

Both the sixth and seventh debates precede the New Hampshire primary, which takes place Tuesday, Jan. 23.
