Twisted Metal Season 2 Trailer: Anthony Carrigan's Calypso Baits Drivers With The Prize Of Any Wish Granted
Concurrent with Anthony Carrigan's big-screen DCU debut as Superman's Metamorpho, Peacock has let fly with a Twisted Metal Season 2 trailer in which his character, Calypso, baits John Doe (MCU vet Anthony Mackie) and other drivers with a contest in which the winner gets any wish granted.

Twisted Metal will start its engines back up again Thursday, July 31, with the release of Season 2's first three episodes, followed by weekly drops through Aug. 28.

Following the events of the Season 1 finale that streamed in July 2023, John Doe and Quiet enter the Twisted Metal tournament, "a sinister demolition derby hosted by a mysterious man known as Calypso (Barry's Anthony Carrigan)," the official logline tells us.

"As they try to survive an onslaught of dangerous new foes and familiar faces alike — including the murderous clown Sweet Tooth (voiced by Will Arnett/embodied by Joe Seanoa aka Samoa Joe) — things get complicated for John when he reunites with his long-lost sister, the vigilante Dollface (Tiana Okoye)."

Showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith says that the stakes are higher than ever for the main characters, who must risk their lives for the ultimate prize: a single wish to fulfill their deepest desire.
"The only problem is 16 other drivers have wishes of their own," Smith previews. "This season is packed with fast-paced action, hysterical moments, and thrilling twists, all anchored by unforgettable characters. Unfortunately, not everyone will make it out alive."

In addition to the returning main cast, Twisted Metal Season 2 will feature recurring guest stars Okoye, Saylor Bell Curda (Walker), Lisa Gilroy (Interior Chinatown), Richard de Klerk (Reign), Patty Guggenheim (She-Hulk: Attorney at Law) and Michael James Shaw (The Walking Dead).
Mackie also serves as executive producer on the series alongside Smith, Arnett, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Marc Forman, and Jason Spire. Phil Sgriccia, Bill Benz, Iain MacDonald and Bertie Ellwood directed episodes of Twisted Metal Season 2.
