Vanderpump Villa Adds Stassi Schroeder To Cast, Earns Season 2 Renewal At Hulu

Lisa Vanderpump will be reuniting with an old friend on Vanderpump Villa. (Well, an old acquaintance, at least.)

Vanderpump Rules alum Stassi Schroeder is joining the cast of the Hulu reality series, which has been renewed for Season 2, TVLine has learned. Schroeder, who was a server at Vanderpump's L.A. restaurant SUR on Bravo's Vanderpump Rules, "will now be joining her former boss in Europe" for Season 2 of Vanderpump Villa, although her exact role on the show has not yet been disclosed.

Vanderpump Villa follows Vanderpump's staff at a European villa estate "as they try to provide luxurious, once-in-a-lifetime, Vanderpump-curated experiences for guests while dealing with rivalries, romances and raucous misadventures that come from living and working together 24/7," per the official description. The 10-episode Season 1 debuted in April, followed by a reunion.

Schroeder was Vanderpump Rules' first breakout star when it premiered on Bravo in 2013, with her volatile relationship with boyfriend Jax Taylor flaming out on camera and her long friendship with Kristen Doute crumbling after Schroeder learned of a secret liaison between Taylor and Doute. Schroeder was a cast member for the show's first eight seasons — often clashing with Vanderpump — but she was fired along with Doute in 2020 after past racist actions of theirs came to light. (Taylor and Doute reunited earlier this year for the Bravo spinoff The Valley, but Schroeder did not join them in the cast.)

In addition to her new role on Vanderpump Villa, Schroeder has also struck a development deal with Hulu for a half-hour docuseries titled Stassi Says, which would see her as "the anchor of a fresh ensemble of comedic and chaotic characters who are dealing with identity crises and major life crossroads of their own — and Stassi's the one who has to keep them all afloat."
