Save The Dates: Wizards Beyond Waverly Place Season 2, Outer Banks Team's New Show And More

Wizards Beyond Waverly Place will return with Season 2 this fall.

The Disney Channel sequel series will kick off its sophomore run with a two-episode premiere, airing Friday, Sept. 12, before all episodes drop on Disney+ on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

Season 2 guest stars include franchise vets Bill Chott (as Mr. Laritate), Sean Whalen (as Mantooth), and Amanda Tepe (who was featured in several different roles during Wizards' original 2007-12 run, and will next appear in a Christmas episode of the revival).

Additional Season 2 guests include Harvey Guillén (What We Do In the Shadows) as Gossip Stone, Kirsten Vangsness (Criminal Minds) as Bigelow McFigglehorn, Freya Skye (Zombies 4) as Piper, Tobias Jelinek (Hocus Pocus) as Lord Morsus, Patrick Bristow (The Suite Life of Zack & Cody) as Wiz M.D., Eleanor Sweeney (Unfrosted) as Bella Bianchi, and newcomer Recker Eans as Quentin.

* The Runarounds — Prime Video's new musical drama executive-produced by Outer Banks creators Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke — will premiere Monday, Sept. 1, with all eight episodes. The series stars real-life musicians in the story of recent high school grads who form a rock band together. "Over the course of one unforgettable summer, they throw themselves into the pursuit of their big break — falling in love, getting into trouble, and building the kind of bonds that feel like family along the way," according to the official logline. Here's a first look:

* Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out will return to VH1 with the first of 20 new episodes on Monday, Sept. 1 at 9/8c.

* The Spirit Tunnel will reopen when The Jennifer Hudson Show Season 4 kicks off Monday, Sept. 15; check your local listings.

* Season 4 of British crime drama The Chelsea Detective is set to stream on Acorn TV in 2026. The season will consist of four feature-length episodes, with Adrian Scarborough and Vanessa Emme returning as Detective Inspector Max Arnold and Detective Sergeant Layla Walsh, respectively.
