Hell Motel: Eric McCormack's Sinister Chef Serves Verbal Beatdown To 'Washed Up' Scream Queen — Watch Exclusive Sneak Peek
You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave Hotel California Hell Motel.
From Slasher creators Aaron Martin and Ian Carpenter, Hell Motel is set to make its two-episode debut Tuesday, June 17 on Shudder and AMC+. The eight-episode limited series follows a group of 10 true crime obsessives who are invited to the opening weekend of the newly renovated Cold River Motel, the site of a 30-year-old unsolved satanic mass murder. "History repeats itself when the guests get stranded and start getting knocked off one by one during a murder spree that grows exponentially more gruesome than the original with each kill," reads its official description.
In our exclusive sneak peek, Eric McCormack (Will & Grace) takes on the role of Hemmingway, the hotel's chef who's described as having "a wickedly sinister flair." Witness his absolutely brutal verbal beatdown of a former scream queen in the clip below.
The hotel's guests include Paige (Degrassi: The Next Generation's Paula Brancati), the aforementioned actress looking to revive her career; Crow (The Boys' Shaun Benson), a new-age medium with an apparent connection to the massacre's victims; Blake (The Hardy Boys' Atticus Mitchell), a true crime writer and himself a survivor of a mass killing; Kawayan (Murdoch Mysteries' Emmanuel Kabongo), a talented artist with a dark focus on murder; Andy (Transplant's Jim Watson), a bookish academic at the forefront of contemporary true crime studies; and Adriana (Chapelwaite's Genevieve DeGraves), a flight attendant with several notorious serial killer notches on her bedpost.
Canadian drag queen Icesis Couture (Canada's Drag Race) also makes a guest appearance as Magenta, a stylish real estate agent who sells the Coldwater Motel to its new owners Ruby (Burden of Truth's Brynn Godenir) and Portia (Heartland's Michelle Nolden).
