The Day Of The Jackal Video: The Jackal Lets Nuria See Behind His Disguise

The Jackal is still hiding a lot from everyone... but he's letting his wife see a little bit more of the truth this week.

TVLine has an exclusive sneak peek at this week's The Day of the Jackal (premiering Thursday on Peacock), with Eddie Redmayne's the Jackal showing his wife Nuria (Úrsula Corberó) one of the elaborate disguises he uses in his line of work. (She still thinks he's in "corporate espionage," though, not working as a high-end assassin.) In the clip — which you can watch above — she asks why he needs to go to such "extreme" lengths to hide his identity. "There are people looking for me," he shares... and the way he says it implies that those people definitely mean him harm.

Nuria has one question for him: "Is this worth it?" The Jackal takes a moment to think about that before answering, "It was," with palpable regret in his voice. He has to leave, but Nuria wants him to show her his disguise first. She watches as he puts in false teeth and carefully applies a fake nose, still bewildered by what her husband has become... and is turning into before her very eyes.
