Big Brother Recap: Did Keanu's HOH Explode In His Face? Plus, The Mastermind Returns!
This week on Big Brother, Keanu's HOH was nothing short of a trainwreck, and at the top of Thursday's live eviction, his close ally Vince was in major danger of going home. Even as I type those words, they still DO NOT MAKE ANY SENSE. Why would an HOH nominate a close ally for eviction with the ultimate goal of keeping said nominee? Don't ask me guys, I just work here.
After Keanu's primary target Morgan took herself off the block with the golden power of veto, the house's eyes shifted squarely toward "Vinny the Lip." Keanu originally put Vince on the block to teach him a lesson (again: WHAT?), but Vince has lied to Keanu sooo many times. Dogged him a whole bunch. Why's Keanu even sweating this guy's potential exit? Regardless, Keanu's nominations aren't the dumbest move in Big Brother history (hi, Marcellas!)... but they're definitely making a Top 20 list.
So was Vince able to save himself with the BB Blockbuster? And who went home? Let's recap the night's wild live eviction.
THE STRATEGY | After the veto meeting, the fallout continues with Keanu telling Ashley to "give it a rest." Naturally, Rachel sides with Ash, saying she wants to be done with Keanu moving forward. However, she's got to find a way to keep her fellow "Judges" safe, which means ensuring that Mickey is the one to go this week. Unless Mickey's able to win safety in the Blockbuster, of course.
After Keanu has a conversation with Ava, Ashley accuses him of trying to poison Ava's mind. Rachel then calls Keanu "arrogant and disrespectful," which... he isn't, really? Even Will clocks the fact that Rachel's trying to bait Keanu a bit. All's fair in the game of Big Brother, and Rachel's certainly gonna Rachel!
Ava knows that if the vote comes down to Vince vs. Ashley, she's more or less the deciding vote. Mickey, however, knows she's gotta curry favor with the houseguests on the fence. She approaches Will about keeping her over Ashley, but even she knows that's a tall order. Will says himself in the D.R. that if it's between Ashley and Mickey, he doesn't know what he's going to do. (We do: There's no chance in hell he's evicting Ashley.)
Twenty minutes into the episode, Vince — who has not cried yet tonight — tells Mickey that if he wins the Blockbuster, she has his vote to stay. He's also hoping that she'd return the favor, but she tells us that she can't promise him that in return. Mickey, just lie to him! It's easy. He does it aaaall the time!
THE BB BLOCKBUSTER | In "Forensic Frenzy," players stand in "evidence chambers" with "DNA balls" being blown all around them. They must collect certain colored balls and drop them down a tube in the correct order. It's a tight race between Mickey and Vince for most of the comp, but Vinny the Lip is able to cinch the win.
THE VOTE | After the houseguests hit the Diary Room, Mickey's luck finally runs out: She's evicted from the house by a vote of 6-1. Oddly enough, she looks... shocked? (Seriously, how'd she not see that coming?)
Julie tells everyone in the house that they've at least made the jury, but before the credits roll, the Mastermind returns with his $4.99 Party City mask. He says he's planning a "month of mayhem." The houseguests will receive an invitation to a mysterious... "White Locust" resort? As for what that means, your guess is as good as mine.
Are you happy Vince stayed this week? Will Rachel and Keanu once again rekindle their Frenemies alliance? Sound off in the comments!
