Dexter: Resurrection Dishes Out A Reveal So Twisted, We Never Saw It Coming
If you're at all like us, then Friday's Dexter: Resurrection twist had you seeing double, literally and figuratively.
The pivotal sixth installment moved the plot forward for two of Dexter's new killer colleagues, but before we get to that jaw-dropping cliffhanger that we must talk about, an update on poor Mia. At the end of last week's episode, Charley promised that she and Prater would help make sure Mia's prison stay was as comfortable and short as possible. ("Short" being the keyword there.) Just before Batista stormed into the prison with Wallace and Oliva to show Mia a photo of the real Bay Harbor Butcher, an emergency alert rang throughout the building. Mia was found dead in her cell, a result of her hanging herself. Sike! Prater had a connection on the inside and had her killed. Guess he didn't trust Mia to keep his secrets after all.
But the episode's biggest WTF moment surrounded David Dastmalchian's Gemini Killer. After following Gareth to a bookstore and intercepting a message Dexter thought was for someone else, Gareth pulled a fast one and followed Dexter back to his home. With Blessing's mother's funeral continuing upstairs, Dexter then pulled a switcheroo on his surprise visitor with a poisoned Gin & Tonic. The whole charade played into the man's enlarged ego, and allowed Dex time to wrap him up and sink a sharp knife deep into his chest.

Goodbye, Gareth! We hardly knew ye... but wait.
After receiving a message from Prater to meet at a secret location, Dexter arrived to a helipad, where Rapunzel showed face shortly after. After Charley, Prater, Dexter and Al boarded the bird, yet another car pulled up to the party. A man slooowly got out of the vehicle and that man was... the Gemini Killer?! Dexter was gobsmacked that he didn't guess it before. Gemini always killed in pairs. So a pair of twin Gemini Killers (plural!) killing their victims together? It almost makes sense. But man, what a shocker. And it's a twist so campy and so far out of left field that it totally works.
