Project Runway Heats Up In A Drab To Fab Challenge — Who Should Get Sent Home?

The Project Runway Season 21 contestants are facing another dreaded group challenge — but who's at risk of unraveling at the seams? Let's recap.

Last week's results are announced at the top of the hour: Alex is sent home for her unfinished kimono-inspired look. She leaves without fanfare. (It's only the second challenge, after all! We barely know the girl!)

Christian and Heidi then introduce this week's challenge: Designers must transform basic, boring fabrics — like grey wool and stiff denim — into something beautiful that will be worn by guest judge Sofia Vergara. The only catch? The competitors are still working in groups, aka fashion houses.

Ethan and Jesus become heads of house, and draft their team of designers to join them in the group challenge. From there, Jesus helms a detail-oriented collection revolved around wool, using a Colombian flower as inspiration for structure and volume. Meanwhile, Ethan leads his group right into denim disaster, using "showstoppers" as an overarching theme for a collection of fringe. (Huh?!)

Ultimately, Jesus, Antonio and Belania land in the top three for their expensive-looking wool creations. Law Roach says he'd "definitely put Zendaya" in Belania's design, and it's a look he'll never forget. With Law's seal of approval, Belania becomes the challenge winner!

Meanwhile, Angelo's crooked corset, Joan's shredded gown, and team leader Ethan's bizarre jumpsuit — which reminds Law of a dilated cervix — end up on the bottom. Law lectures the group for forcing him to show up in beautiful glam and look at so many ugly clothes. (We agree, Law!) Heidi goes on to call the collection a "denim costume party" and says, "I think they can all go" as the episode comes to a close.

Who do you think will go home next week? And who do you think should? Vote in our polls below, then sound off in the comments!
