Suits LA: Harvey's Latest Appearance Ties Pellegrini To Another Suits Vet
Gabriel Macht returned as Harvey Specter during this Sunday's Suits LA, and this time, he didn't stay confined to the show's flashbacks. He also dropped a piece of intel connecting mobster Pellegrini to a familiar Suits character, helping to set up another alum's visit to the spinoff.
In New York circa 2010, Ted's attempt to get Pellegrini on murder charges failed, so the lawyer decided to go after him for racketeering. That quest led Ted to Harvey, whose law firm represented one of the companies associated with Pellegrini. But Harvey wasn't about to give up privledged information about one of their clients.
"This is the kind of thing that made me leave the DA's office in the first place," Harvey said.
Ted wasn't buying it: "You left because you love the money and the power and the prestige," he retorted.
When Ted tried to appeal to Harvey by mentioning how many people Pellegrini has killed, Harvey told Ted to "stop crying" and "suit up and get the job done" (in an unintentional Arrow nod?).
"If he walks, that's on you," Ted replied, which did the trick because Harvey later showed up with the files.
The company left the firm when their lawyer did, so "I've got no loyalty to either one," Harvey explained.

That lawyer was none other than Daniel Hardman, a co-founding law firm partner played by David Costabile on the original Suits. As previously reported, the actor is set to reprise his role on the offshoot, and this bit of info from Harvey, tying Hardman to Ted's Big Bad, certainly helps piece together the why and how, as does, possibly, the episode's ending.
In the present day, Harvey shows up at Ted's home and reveals that Pellegrini is getting out of jail. (In better news, Harvey is wearing a wedding ring, so it appears he and Donna are still going strong.)
"Tomorrow, we're going to take a flight to New York," Harvey announces, "and make sure that son of a bitch never sees the light of day."
