The Summer I Turned Pretty Sets Up Dramatic Series Finale As [Spoiler] Books A Ticket To Paris

A certain somebody is taking his passport to Paris — but has Belly already left her Cousins life behind her? Let's recap The Summer I Turned Pretty Episode 10.

Against the backdrop of a snow-covered city, Belly begins to really explore a romance with Benito, the "sexy Latino Chalamet" she met in Episode 9. The pair spends Christmas Eve together after Benito catches her having a solo dance party inside the restaurant where she works. They share a glass of wine before jetting around the streets of Paris on Benito's motorcycle. (OK, dreamy!)

Amid this budding flirtation, Taylor shows up to celebrate New Year's Eve with her BFF. But the Cousins drama comes right along with her, as Belly receives another blast from her past: Conrad has sent an oversized bag of Sour Patch Kids and the infamous Junior Mint, with Belly's old infinity necklace wrapped around its neck. Though our girl has stayed strong when it comes to disregarding his many letters, Belly seems rattled.

Belly refuses to linger in that state for long, as she quickly casts the gifts aside; it's New Year's Eve, and the girl wants to celebrate! She turns right around and plants a midnight kiss on Benito, but we aren't really buying the "fresh start" shtick. It seems like it's just a matter of time before she finally faces the truth, that she still has feelings for Conrad.

Because Belly can be lovably stubborn, she carries on trying to start anew. She finds the perfect apartment with an enchanting view, finally ditching that gaggle of eccentric roommates living in her leaky flat. She commits to spending one more year in this European oasis — what else could a girl want?

Meanwhile, back in Cousins, Jeremiah is still pouting — and lying! He told his dad that he's enrolled in college and living in the frat house, but that's quickly debunked at a Friendsgiving dinner; Jere's actually doing pretty much nothing but moping! His dad cuts him off, and Jere starts staying with Denise, where sparks seem to be tentatively flying? (We can't really 'ship Jere with anybody in his current state, but if he could turn things around, we wouldn't hate this duo!)

On the anniversary of Susannah's death, Jere and Conrad finally have a face-to-face, which ends up being a pretty productive encounter considering where things stand between them. Jere even acknowledges Conrad and Belly's relationship, admitting, "I never could compete with what you two had."

Conrad then tells his brother that he's been sending Belly letters, though she hasn't responded. He wonders if he should take the hint, but to everyone's surprise, Jere encourages Conrad to follow his heart. "Do what you have to do," he says. "Don't expect me to be OK with it. But don't f—king waste it, either."

And with that, Connie Baby books a ticket to Paris.
