The Traitors Recap: A Big Brother Vet's Game Gets Messy
Boston Rob's big move of ousting Bob the Drag Queen worked like a charm, but in Thursday's episode of The Traitors, the size of his own target grows exponentially.
We start in the turret with Carolyn and Danielle, who are both hurling daggers at Rob with their eyes. He promises he won't come for them... unless they come for him first. (Rob's been pulling stunts on reality TV for 24 years now. How have people not figured out that his promises mean absolutely nothing in these games?) Needless to say, the women are more than peeved, and Rob can read the energy in the room. Despite their disagreements, they've got to agree to murder someone. Regardless, there's trouble in Scottish paradise for this trio of traitors. And it's only gonna get messier.
All is revealed at breakfast when the faithful learn that Robyn has become the latest dearly departed player. Jaws drop! Frowny faces commence! But there's not too much time to mourn because Alan arrives to prep the gang for their next mission. Before they head out, however, Ivar tells Derrick and Carolyn Wes' theory that only a traitor would 100% know Bob the Drag Queen was a traitor. Will Carolyn deliver this info to Danielle? Spread it to others in the castle?
Before that can happen, Ivar tells Rob what Wes said. So while Rob tries to quell Wes' suspicions, Danielle and Carolyn have a conversation about Bob's banishment. And somehow Danielle surmises that she needs to get Carolyn out first before she can go after Rob? (She suspects that Rob and Carolyn might have a Survivor alliance, but man, is she wildly underestimating Carolyn here. Sigh.)
After a riddle-filled mission, the group banks $15,000, with Dolores and Ciara securing shields. But Danielle's odd choices of who to give shields to raise eyebrows. First she gives Derrick's shield to Dolores and then steals Chrishell's safety to give it... back to Derrick? This leaves everyone wondering why she didn't take a shield for herself. Then in the van ride back to the castle, she throws Carolyn's name under the bus. Messy, messy, messy. If that wasn't enough, she later tells Britney that Carolyn mentioned her name. Do less, Danielle!
And while Danielle actively tries to sink her own game plus Carolyn's, Chrishell tells Boston Rob that she thinks her BFF Nikki is a traitor. Aaaand we're back to the coffin theory, with Nikki being most worried about the night's forthcoming banishment.
ROUNDTABLE | Ivar opens up the discussion by saying he's heard three names: Nikki, Ciara and Rob. After some masterful deflection by Rob, Nikki and Ciara start making some back and forth accusations. Chrishell, who "picks up on energies," admits that she felt a shift with Nikki after Bob left the game. (How's that for some hard evidence?)

Bob Harper brings up the night's best point. Knowing what Rob is capable of, Bob poses that the most badass move — if Rob was a traitor — would be to take out a fellow traitor ASAP to make himself look like a hero. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. But is this absolutely spot-on take enough to get the rest of the players' gears to shift?
Nope. Nikki gets a majority of the votes, even ones from her supposed allies Gabby and Chrishell. Tears are shed. Regrets are bountiful. This whole episode has been one big L for the faithful. However, Derrick and Wes have a little chat about Rob, with Derrick telling us via interview that if Rob doesn't take him out, he's gonna gun for the Survivor champ. Hard. And as the night winds down, Dylan fills Carolyn in on a harsh truth: that Danielle has been saying her name.
So much conniving (and sloppy) gameplay! Are you rooting for or against Rob? Wish Danielle and Carolyn would get their act together? Sound off in the comments!
