The Traitors Recap: The Hooded Villains Face A Major Decision — Plus, Who Was Murdered... In Person?
When we last visited the castle, Alan Cumming left a ginormous cliffhanger in our laps. The Traitors were about to murder their next victim in person! But not everyone was vulnerable to be flicked off the chess board — only Gabby, Tom, Dylan, Chrishell and Dolores were up for grabs. So who didn't make it back to the castle for bagels and lox? Let's recap.
All is revealed at breakfast as the surviving faithful show face to game and gossip. When we flash back to the night before, we see Danielle and Carolyn hand-deliver a waxed letter to... Chrishell, telling the Selling Sunset star that she was "too faithful," and therefore would never have been banished. Sad, but true. Shatter her picture frame, Alan. Next!
As a result of this week's task that includes creepy dolls, lullabies and the debut of Tom Sandoval's singing career, the group earns $20,000 for the prize pot. The shield? That was won by Ciara. But she'll have to survive the night's roundtable in order to take advantage of its sweet, sweet protection.
While Ivar and Danielle chat about potentially banishing Ciara, Carolyn has another thought in mind. If Britney is banished, Danielle will be forced to be more loyal to her. (Or so she thinks!) Dylan also has Brit on the mind, citing Derrick's accusation against Britney at his last roundtable. Ciara, however, can't seem to live down the coffin theory. That's exactly who Britney is gunning for and exactly who she pitches to Danielle.
ROUNDTABLE | Alan gathers the group for their next elimination, where Ciara is first to speak up to defend herself against that ol' coffin biz. Not quite helping her case is the fact that many of the faithful feel that there must be at least one female traitor, if not two. Britney states that the only two strays she caught last round were from Ciara and Rob, another reason why Ciara might be a traitor.
Ciara switches her focus. When Jeremy was killed, the last person's name in his mouth was Danielle. Danielle counters by reminding everyone that she voted for Rob not once, but twice. In addition, she never would've killed Bob H. and Derrick. (Hah!)
But faithful members like Ivar and Sam can't seem to let the coffin thing go. Frankly, it dominates the discussion, but will it dominate the votes? Alan puts the kibosh on the conversation and when those mini chalkboards flip around, Ciara votes for Britney, but everyone else throws daggers Ciara's way and she is banished from the game.
In the turret, Danielle and Carolyn get a tempting offer from Alan. They can murder a faithful as usual or — you guessed it! — try to seduce a faithful to the dark side. Of course, if they opt to recruit, they forfeit their ability to murder this round. Danielle wants to recruit, but Carolyn wants to murder. They know they have to give the faithful a female traitor to slaughter. Dolores is clearly not an option, which is seemingly the only thing these two can actually agree on. So it all comes down to Gabby or Britney. But Carolyn is far too afraid to let Danielle's "bestie" inside the turret. (Can you blame her?) Their decision... will be revealed next week.
Is Carolyn right not to trust Danielle? Will this decision tear these two apart once again? Let your thoughts be known in the comments!
