Glen Powell's Football Comedy Chad Powers Drops Full Trailer — Get Hulu Premiere Date

Glen Powell is ready to throw it deep this fall as star of the football comedy Chad Powers.

The Hulu original will premiere Tuesday, Sept. 30. Two episodes will be released at launch, followed by Episodes 3 and 4 on Oct. 7, and Episodes 5 and 6 on Oct. 14. Watch the full-length trailer above.

Co-written and exec-produced by Powell and Loki creator Michael Waldron, Chad Powers centers on hotshot college football quarterback Russ Holliday (Powell), who, after nuking his Division I career due to bad behavior, conceals his identity and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.

The half-hour, single-camera comedy is based on former New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's popular ESPN+ sketch.

In addition to Powell, the Chad Powers cast includes Perry Mattfeld (In the Dark) as Ricky, Quentin Plair (Tiny Beautiful Things) as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett (Sweet Magnolias) as Tricia, Frankie A. Rodriguez (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) as Danny, and Steve Zahn (Silo) as Jake Hudson.

"We're both diehard college football fans," Powell and Waldron shared in a joint statement when the series was first ordered. "When we saw Eli as Chad Powers, we knew that was the way into a big, fun story about this world. We're excited to be part of this team, and can't wait to get Chad in the game."

Added Eli, who also serves as an EP on the project alongside brother Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz and Ben Brown: "The love for Chad Powers has surprised me in spectacular ways. I played 16 years in the NFL, but now when I'm in a restaurant or walking through an airport, it's not uncommon for fans to scream, 'Hey Chad!'"
