English Teacher's Brian Jordan Alvarez Heads Back To School In Season 2 Trailer — Get FX Release Date And Binge-Drop Details
Yep, it's back-to-school time for English Teacher.
Season 2 of the FX comedy will premiere Thursday, Sept. 25 at 9/8c with the first three episodes. And good news for all you binge-watchers: The following day, the full 10-episode Season 2 will be available to stream on Hulu.
But don't wait until then to get your first look at some funny new scenes. Hulu released the official trailer for English Teacher's second season Wednesday, and you can feast your eyes on the new footage below.
FX has also dropped a few tantalizing plot details from Season 2, in which "Evan still refuses to stay quiet when controversy arises at Morrison-Hensley High," per the official synopsis. Evan and the teaching staff will "find themselves in the crosshairs of issues including climate change, COVID, military recruitment and student phone usage."
Plus, "Evan also struggles to keep his relationship with Malcolm separate from his work life," the synopsis adds, as "Evan's excessive righteousness at school takes an increasing toll on his romantic life."

Brian Jordan Alvarez, who also created the series and serves as an executive producer, stars as Evan Marquez, a high school teacher in Austin, Texas who has to navigate whiny students, angry parents and fed-up colleagues at his school. Stephanie Koenig co-stars as Evan's friend and fellow teacher Gwen Sanders, with Enrico Colantoni as checked-out principal Grant Moretti and Sean Patton as unruly gym teacher Markie.
Debuting last fall, English Teacher wrapped up its eight-episode season with Evan surprisingly rekindling things with his ex Malcolm, played by Jordan Firstman. (Read our full season finale recap, and our post-season chat with Koenig.) English Teacher earned significant acclaim for its freshman run, including four Independent Spirit Award nominations, led by a nod for best new scripted series.
