Zero Day: Robert De Niro And POTUS Angela Bassett Cross Lines To Hunt Terrorists In Netflix Thriller's New Trailer
Angela Bassett enlists Robert De Niro to hunt down cyber terrorists and stop another attack — by any means necessary — in the new trailer (above) for Zero Day, the six-episode Netflix conspiracy thriller premiering Thursday, Feb. 20.
The limited series stars De Niro as former U.S. President George Mullen, who "is charged with finding the perpetrators of a devastating cyber attack that has caused chaos around the country and thousands of fatalities," per the official description. "As disinformation runs rampant and the personal ambition of power brokers in technology, Wall Street and government collide, Mullen's unwavering search for the truth forces him to confront his own dark secrets while risking all he holds dear."
Joining De Niro in the star-studded cast are Bassett, as current U.S. President Evelyn Mitchell; Lizzy Caplan as Mullen's congresswoman daughter Alexandra; Jesse Plemons as Mullen's former aide Roger Carlson; Connie Britton as political operative Valerie Whitesell; and Dan Stevens as Evan Green, "a charismatic loudmouth and TV host of a wildly popular political program."
TV veteran Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland, Mad Men) directed all six episodes.
