Daredevil: Born Again To End With Season 3 At Disney+ As Showrunner Exits

Matt Murdock's vigilante mission is coming to an end: "Daredevil: Born Again" will end with its upcoming third season on Disney+, according to The Hollywood Reporter. (TVLine has reached out to Disney+ for confirmation.) 

There will be a changing of the guard behind the scenes as well: Dario Scardapane, who created the Marvel TV revival, is stepping down as showrunner after his contract with Marvel was not renewed. He is "exiting the show in the middle of post-production," THR reports, and "It is unclear who will see the show through completion."

"Daredevil: Born Again" is a revival of Netflix's "Daredevil" series, with Charlie Cox reprising his role as blind attorney Matt Murdock, who fights crime as the superhero Daredevil. Vincent D'Onofrio returns as well as Daredevil's arch-nemesis Wilson Fisk, aka the Kingpin, with Deborah Ann Woll returning as Karen Page. (Elden Henson's Foggy returned, too, but he was killed off in the series premiere.) Krysten Ritter joined the cast in Season 2, reprising her Marvel TV role as Jessica Jones. 

"Daredevil: Born Again" debuted on Disney+ in 2025 (after "Daredevil" ended a three-season run on Netflix in 2018), with Season 2 hitting the streamer in March. Marvel Studios confirmed the show would return for Season 3 last fall, with the third and final season expected to premiere next year.
