Doja Cat Performs 'Paint The Town Red' And 'Demons' At 2023 VMAs — Watch
Nary a spirit went unsummoned on Tuesday as Doja Cat took the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards stage for a fiery performance of her new singles "Paint the Town Red" and "Demons."

Doja has previously won four VMAs: Push Best New Artist in 2020, Best Collaboration with SZA for "Kiss Me More" in 2021, Best Art Direction with Saweetie for "Best Friend" in 2021 and Best Choreography for "Woman" in 2022. She entered this year's ceremony as an Artist of the Year nominee, along with nods in four other categories — Video of the Year, Best Direction and Best Art Direction for "Attention," plus Best Collaboration with Post Malone for "I Like You (A Happier Song)."
Of course, Doja Cat was just one major performer at Tuesday's VMAs, which also featured highly anticipated performances from Anitta, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Demi Lovato, Diddy, DMC, Doug E. Fresh, Fall Out Boy, Future, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Karol G, Kelsea Ballerini, Lil Wayne, LL Cool J, Måneskin, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Shakira, Stray Kids, and Tomorrow X Together.
Hosted by Minaj, this year's VMAs were broadcast live from Newark, N.J.'s Prudential Center. Frontrunner Taylor Swift entered the ceremony with 11 nominations, followed by SZA in second with six nods, plus five for Minaj, Rodrigo, Doja, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus and Sam Smith.
