Law & Order Adds Shameless' Justin Chatwin As Price's [Spoiler] — See First Photos (Exclusive)

Law & Order is making a Shameless ploy to flesh out Nolan Price's backstory.

Justin Chatwin, who played shady-dude-with-a-good-heart Jimmy on several seasons of Showtime's Shameless, will guest-star in Season 24 of the legal procedural as Price's brother, Thomas, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Thomas, who is described as "charming," will appear in the Thursday, Jan. 30, episode (NBC, 8/7c), He'll meet up with his assistant district attorney brother to talk about their father's failing health.

Price's dad was introduced earlier this season, when Nolan visited him at a nursing home; the older man was unconscious and appeared to be unable to move or speak. We hear that the brothers don't agree about their father's trajectory: Nolan wants the best care possible, but Thomas wants his brother to start preparing for the end.

Amid all of the family drama, of course, Price must try a case. Per the episode's official logline: "When a wealthy man is executed in his home, Shaw and Riley aim to determine who was greedy enough to want him dead."

In addition to Shameless, Chatwin's TV resume includes Lost, Weeds, Orphan Black, Doctor Who, American Gothic, Smallville and Another Life. His film work includes Dragonball: Evolution and War of the Worlds.
