Scott Foley To Play A Minister In Faith-Based Drama For Amazon

Not to be confused with And Just Like That..., TV's Scott Foley is set to star in It's Not Like That, a faith-based drama for Prime Video.

According to Variety, which first broke the news, Foley will play Malcolm, a minister and newly widowed family man. The official logline reads as follows:

Lori is freshly divorced with two teens. Malcolm's a minister and recently widowed dad of three. Their families once did everything together, but now Lori and Malcolm must navigate their newly minted singledom, parenthood and the complexities of Malcolm being a modern-day minister. Is this the beginning of a love story? It's not like that. Or is it?

The series hails from Ian Deitchman and Kristin Robinson, whose previous credits include Prime Video series As We See It, Carnival Row and Z: The Beginning of Everything. The role of Lori has not yet been cast.

Foley, whose myriad TV credits include Felicity, Scandal and The Unit, is currently recurring on ABC's Will Trent; Dr. Seth McDale, the confident and down-to-earth head of emergency medicine at a local hospital and Angie's new romantic interest, will be introduced in Episode 8 of Season 3. Foley also stars in the Netflix feature La Dolce Villa, which dropped Feb. 13.
