Tamara Braun Joins The Young And The Restless In Mysterious New Role — What's Her Connection To Genoa City?
Tamara Braun is increasing her daytime footprint, stepping into a new role on CBS' The Young and the Restless, TVLine has confirmed.
Though little is known about her character, Sienna Bacall, her official description implies that she has "personal connections to several characters" in Y&R's Genoa City. Braun begins taping next week and is expected to make her first on-screen appearance sometime this fall.
Of course, this is hardly Braun's first daytime rodeo. Her career in soaps began when she took over as Carly Corinthos on ABC's General Hospital, a role she held from 2001 to 2005. Her other daytime roles have included Reese Williams on ABC's All My Children and Ava Vitali on NBC-turned-Peacock's Days of Our Lives.
Thus far, Braun has taken home two Daytime Emmy Awards — one for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Days of Our Lives in 2009, and another for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for General Hospital in 2020. She was also nominated for her work on General Hospital in 2004.
New episodes of The Young and the Restless air weekdays at 12:30/11:30c on CBS.
