Casting News: Tyra Banks Returns To Bel-Air, Jimmi Simpson Joins The Walking Dead Spinoff And More

Tyra Banks is booking a return trip to Bel-Air. Banks, who originally played Jackie Ames on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, will guest-star in an episode of the dramatic Peacock reboot's fourth and final season, TVLine has learned.

Per the streamer, "Banks has been cast as a former college classmate with a big personality who Viv is reluctantly reunited with."

Bel-Air returns to Peacock for its final run of episodes on Monday, Nov. 24. A roll-out schedule for the episodes has yet to be announced.

In other casting news...

* Jimmi Simpson (Pachinko, Star Trek: Prodigy) has joined AMC's The Walking Dead: Dead City as a new series regular named Dillard, Deadline reports, though no character details have been revealed. Season 3 is currently filming; a premiere date has not yet been announced.

* Kristoffer Polaha has joined MGM+'s American Hostage, whose first season follows a 1970s reporter (Jon Hamm) who's forced to interview a hostage-taker (Giovanni Ribisi) live on the radio. Polaha will play the series-regular role of Dick Hall, the president of Meridian Mortgage who's taken hostage, Deadline reports. A premiere date has not yet been announced.

* Elisha Cuthbert (Happy Endings) will recur in Prime Video's Every Year After, the series adaptation of Carley Fortune's 2022 novel Every Summer After, Variety reports. Cuthbert will play Sue Florek, the mother of Matt Cornett's Sam Florek. A premiere date has not yet been announced.

* Jay Ellis (Insecure) has rounded out the series-regular cast of Mindy Kaling's Hulu comedy series Not Suitable for Work, about a group of young workaholics in Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood, Deadline reports. Ellis will play Bill Gibson, described as a "charismatic, successful investment banker who is admired for being his firm's highest-earning managing director."
