Yellowstone's Beth/Rip Spinoff Adds Annette Bening

Annette Bening is the latest addition to Paramount+'s highly anticipated Yellowstone spinoff, which now has a working title: The Dutton Ranch.

The five-time Oscar nominee joins franchise vets Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser and Finn Little, who are set to reprise their respective roles as Beth Dutton, Rip Wheeler and Carter.

Bening will play Beulah Jackson, "the powerful, cunning, and charming head of a major ranch in Texas."

The offshoot, which has tapped Chad Feehan (Lawmen: Bass Reeves) to serve as showrunner, picks up after the events of Yellowstone Season 5. In it, "Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler are grateful for the peace they sought, fought, and nearly died for with their 7,000-acre Dutton Ranch," per the official logline. "With tough times and stiff competition, Beth and Rip do what they must to survive, all while ensuring Carter becomes the man he's supposed to be."

The Dutton Ranch is one of several Yellowstone franchise offshoots currently in the works. Over on Paramount+, it is joined by 1944 (which follows 1883 and 1923) and The Madison (starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Matthew Fox and Patrick J. Adams). CBS, meanwhile, will serve as home to Y: Marshals (starring Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton) in early 2026.

Deadline was first to report Bening's casting.
