THE LAST SHIP (TNT)

TNT announced last May that the action-thriller's summer 2018 run would mark its final mission — confirming a rumor that first began circulating back in September 2017, when cast member Travis Van Winkle announced "a series wrap" after filming Seasons 4 and 5 back-to-back, in a quickly deleted Instagram post.

TAKE TWO (ABC)

The Rachel Bilson/Eddie Cibrian two-hander was cancelled by ABC in September, two months after its freshman run averaged 2.7 million viewers and a 0.42 demo rating. Talk of it being shopped elsewhere ultimately proved fruitless.

CODE BLACK (CBS)

The medical drama was first cancelled a year ago, early into Season 3, and then double-secret officially cancelled in November, after CBS took a long, second look at the show's fate. Last summer's run averaged a 0.7 rating, down 28 percent in the demo from its sophomore season.

SALVATION (CBS)

We shall never know what Samson was. Averaging a 0.33 demo rating in Season 2, the sci-fi drama was last summer's lowest-rated scripted broadcast series. And among all CBS fare, it only topped something called Pink Collar Crimes.

The Andy Cohen-hosted dating-show update was cancelled in February after two summertime runs, the latter of which drew an anemic 1.82 million viewers and a 0.5 demo rating.

The Marlon Wayans-headlined family sitcom was cancelled in December, five months after its sophomore run averaged roughly 2.6 million viewers and a 0.6 demo rating, down sharply from Season 1's 4.3 mil and 1.1.

Midnight, Texas - Season 2

MIDNIGHT, TEXAS (NBC)

Following its initial summer 2017 run, the supernatural drama went on hiatus for over a year before getting an in-season showcase for Season 2. That nine-episode season was steady, but low, in the ratings. Not longer after, the Peacock pulled the plug.

Reverie - Season Pilot

REVERIE (NBC)

The Sarah Shahi-led sci-fi series averaged 0.44 rating with its freshman run, ranking third out of last summer's five scripted network series. Come November, NBC confirmed the non-virtual reality that it would not be back.

HUMANS (AMC)

The sci-fi drama was officially cancelled on May 20, more than 10 months after its final episode aired. In a statement, creators Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley noted, "We know we left some threads hanging. That was the way we always wrote the show. Maybe one day we'll get a chance to pick them back up. If there's anyone out there with a few million quid and an interest in AI stories, we're all ears. DM us Elon."

Syfy announced last May, ahead of Season 13 aka Battle Royale, that the competition series' Summer 2018 edition would be its last.

The reality competition last summer averaged 2.7 million total viewers and a 0.8 demo rating, down 25 and 33 percent from its freshman cycle. At this time, any Season 3 is not on Fox's schedule.

Season 3 averaged 730,000 total viewers and under a 0.2 demo rating, down sharply from its truncated-by-injury sophomore run. In August, with five episodes still left in the chamber, USA announced that it would not be reloading the Ryan Phillippe starrer.
