OMG, it's Clark's wig!

Step one: Apply the sideburns.

Step 2: Comb out the sideburns.

Step 3: Look at my cute legs dangling in the wind.

Step 4: Mat down my mane ahead of the wig application.

Step 5: Snap a pic of my hair completely covered in surgical tape.

Step 6: Apply the wig. Yes, this is the same exact wig Rhys uses on the show when he is playing Clark. Also, say hi to Peg!

Step 6: Rock the '80s wardrobe.

Step 7: Add the final piece — Clark's signature spectacles.

Step 8: Start acting like a cold war spy.

Step 9: Pose with my partner in crime Hanh (AKA "Jennifer")

Step 10: Stay calm as Tracey and Peg put out a major fire — my sideburns have come undone! — seconds before we're supposed to take the stage.

Step 11: Sideburn-gate averted! It's show time!

Step 12: Tune out the rapidly increasing applause and laughter and STAY IN CHARACTER...

... which is easier said than done when Keri Russell is doing this right in front of me.

Seriously, I thought she was going to hurt herself she was laughing so hard.

The producers and cast join us on stage to accept their award. Keri — still laughing her ass off — comes in for a hug and I officially break character.

EPs Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields refer to our surprise as "the best thing that ever happened to us."

Keri walks backstage and lets out a loud scream when she sees Peg waiting in the wings!

Matthew is also gobsmacked — Peg was in on it, too!

Matthew was a little annoyed that I looked so good as Clark, hence the side-eye he's throwing me.
