Teen Choice Awards 2014: Best Moments

Demi Lovato's "Really Don't Care" was a the perfect way to kick off this year's TCAs. (Coincidentally, the summer anthem's title also echoes most of the comments left by TVLine's non-teen readers.)

But Lovato wasn't the only A+ crooner tonight. Remember when WWE Superstar The Big Show offered up his take on R. Kelly's classic jam "I Believe I Can Fly"? That was really weird.

Teen Choice producers knew exactly what they were doing having Taylor Swift present Choice Dramatic Male, Movie. As Swift noted, she knows "a thing or two about dramatic males."

Following Taylor Swift's lead, Nina Dobrev also used her time at the podium to address the bevy of faux-boyfriends the tabloids have linked her with lately. What's the count now, five?

Donald Sutherland winning Choice Movie Villain proved that teens still respect, or at least fear, their elders. We also loved Sutherland's nod to his wife of 40+ years. (Their marriage is more than twice as old as many of the night's nominees.)

On the flip side, nothing felt more fun and youthful than watching web superstars Tyler Oakley and Bethany Mota accepting their respective surfboards. (The internet, guys. The internet!)

We're also suckers (tee hee!) for TV worlds colliding. How well do we think Rachel Berry would fare in Mystic Falls?

Tyler Posey and Jennifer Lopez's Maid in Manhattan reunion (he played her son) would have been enough for us. Posey's "audition" to become one of J. Lo's back-up dancers was just the icing on the cake.

Seriously, look at him go!
