UPN's Top 10 Shows, Ranked

Honorable Mentions
Sadly, this being a Top 10 list, there were a few shows that just missed the cut. Among them: Moesha spinoff The Parkers; the delightfully squiggly Home Movies; the supernatural thriller Haunted, starring a pre-Lost Matthew Fox; and Britney and Kevin: Chaotic (which also could have been called Britney and Kevin: Why Isn't This More Interesting?).

10. Jake 2.0
Baby Christopher Gorham as a nanobot-infused superhuman? What's not to love? This 16-episode gem — executive-produced by David Greenwalt (Buffy, Angel, Grimm) and Silvio Horta (Ugly Betty) — was canceled way too soon.

9. Clueless
Rachel Blanchard might not have been Alicia Silverstone, but she was "literally the Polaroid of perfection." That infectious theme song, coupled with general nostalgia for the 1995 movie kept us tuning in for all three seasons of this TGIF transplant.

8. Moesha
Sure, this sitcom was enjoyable on its own, but let's not forget its most important contribution to society: introducing the world to future Academy Award winner Mo'Nique! (Also, Ray J, I guess.)

7. Everybody Hates Chris
For the record, not "everybody" hated this four-season comedy's titular star; we were thrilled to see the show migrate over to The CW, following UPN's dissolution in 2006.

6. Star Trek: Voyager
Not only did Voyager boldly go where no Star Trek had gone before, but it was also responsible for much of UPN's initial success, launching in tandem with the network. (If it'll help you sleep at night, you can also include Star Trek: Enterprise as No. 6.)

5. Roswell
Our love for the out-of-this-world drama aside, can we just take a moment to reflect on this cast, please? (Revenge's Nick Wechsler! Once Upon a Time's Emilie de Ravin! UnREAL's Shiri Appleby! Fargo's Colin Hanks! Grey's Anatomy's Katherine Heigl! Need we go on?)

4. America's Next Top Model
The last remaining relic of the UPN era, America's Next Top Model taught us how to "smize," introduced us to the stunning being that is Miss J. Alexander and delivered one of the most iconic tell-offs in reality TV history. ("We were rooting for you! We were all rooting for you! How dare you?!")

3. Girlfriends
Before she was crushing black-ish — a TVLine favorite, if you haven't already read — Tracee Ellis Ross was at the forefront of this empowering sitcom, one of the few survivors of the Great CW Merge of 2006. In fact, considering how real this show was, it's hard to believe it's responsible for spinning off The Game.

2. Veronica Mars
A solid contender for the No. 1 spot, Veronica Mars remains one of the smartest, most perfectly cast shows of its time. (Did we mention TVLine EIC Michael Ausiello appeared in an episode? Still can't figure out why he wasn't asked back for the movie.)

1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Come on, did you really expect another show to take the No. 1 spot? Sarah Michelle Gellar's titular night-stalker was "slaying" long before the Internet massacred that word to the point of total annoyance.
