Scrubs Revival: Judy Reyes Drops Major Turk And Carla Update — Plus, How Much The High Potential Star Will Appear
Even though Judy Reyes is committed to ABC's High Potential, the actress has carved out time to reprise Carla in the upcoming Scrubs revival — and she now confirms she'll appear in four episodes.
"I'm so grateful," she says. "Because they're both ABC shows, they've gone out of their way to make sure that I'm available for both."
Reyes is talking to TVLine just five days after reuniting with fellow Sacred Heart alums — including Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley and TV husband Donald Faison — for their first table read in 15 years.
"That was really special," she says. "It was kind of like we just left for lunch and came back and saw each other. It was very emotional with how terrific the script was and how much of our original team was actually there — including the writers. It was kind of like we never left. I can't wait to see how the audience reacts."
Though Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence previously suggested that not all of our favorite characters will be working at Sacred Heart, Reyes confirms that Turk's better half is still a nurse, adding: "She loves that s–t. A good chunk of the team is still working together, and I love that."

When we last saw Carla in Season 8, she was carrying her and Turk's second child, following the birth of firstborn Izzy in Season 6. Per Reyes, the longtime marrieds are now parents to four — yes, four! — teenagers.
"I was overwhelmed by how positively everybody reacted once they knew for sure that I was coming back to the show," she says. "I've only read the first episode and it's fantastic, so I can't wait to see what the rest looks like."
Viewers, meanwhile, won't have to wait too long: Scrubs is expected to premiere in early 2026.
