Doctor Odyssey And 9-1-1 Set Crossover Episode — Find Out When Ryan Murphy's Worlds Will Collide
9-1-1 is scrubbing into Doctor Odyssey.
The ABC shows will join forces on Thursday, March 20, in a crossover episode set amid Doctor Odyssey's Casino Week, per our sister site Variety.
The two worlds, which both hail from Ryan Murphy, will collide when "unexpected guest Athena Grant" — AKA the 9-1-1 cop played by Angela Bassett — "suspects two passengers are targeting the ship's vault," Variety reports. "Enlisting Max's help, Athena raises the stakes in a dangerous game where not everyone will end up with a winning hand."
This won't be the first time Athena faces an at-sea emergency: She and Bobby (Peter Krause) faced a memorable cruise ship fiasco during 9-1-1 Season 7. It will, however, be her first time meeting Dr. Max Bankman (Joshua Jackson) and the rest of The Odyssey crew, which includes Captain Massey (Don Johnson), Nurse Avery (Phillipa Soo) and Nurse Tristan (Sean Teale).
Murphy has previously staged crossovers within the American Horror Story and 9-1-1 universes, but this marks the first time that two separate worlds will converge. The news comes in the wake of ABC's announcement on Thursday that it has officially ordered another spinoff in the 9-1-1 franchise: 9-1-1: Nashville.
Both 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey will make their midseason returns on Thursday, March 6, starting at 8/7c.
