Oliver Stark Is Excited To 'Delve Deeper' Into Buck's Bisexuality In 9-1-1 Season 9 — Watch Video

To commemorate Bisexual Visibility Day, 9-1-1 star Oliver Stark took to Instagram to share some thoughts on Buck's personal journey thus far, including one very crucial point he hopes to "hammer home" when the ABC procedural returns for Season 9 on Oct. 9 (8/7c).

"One of my biggest joys of playing Buck over the past eight nine seasons is getting to tell the story of him discovering his bisexuality," Stark says in the video. "I hope, truly, that we have offered up some kind of positive representation. I'm really super proud of getting to be a part of this storyline."

He continues: "I know there are a lot of people that think things like, you know, bisexual men are just too scared to come out as gay or whatever it is, and obviously that's not the case. I really hope we get to hammer home that point this season. I'm excited to delve deeper and deeper into it. It's just such an honor to get to be a part of telling this story, so thank you guys."

TVLine recently spoke with Stark about what's ahead for Buck in Season 9, including any potential romantic developments.

"I don't know if he's in a good place for it," Stark told us. "I don't know that it's necessary in his life right now, but if something happens to come along, that's great."

While speculated by fans for quite some time, Buck's bisexuality didn't become canon until 9-1-1's seventh season when Buck kissed Tommy (Lou Ferrigno Jr.), kicking off a storyline that ultimately left Buck heartbroken. Buck had previously only dated women, including Taylor (Megan West) and Abby (Connie Britton), the latter of whom also dated Tommy. Yikes.
