Prime Video To Offer Apple TV+ As Subscription Add-On In New Deal

Amazon announced on Wednesday that it has struck a new deal with Apple that will bring an Apple TV+ subscription add-on offering to Prime Video.

In the United States, Apple TV+ will become available via Prime Video later this month, with the add-on subscription costing $9.99 per month.

"Prime Video is a first-stop entertainment destination offering a wide selection of premium programming," Mike Hopkins, head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, said in a statement. "As we continue to expand our offering and make it easy for customers to personalize their streaming experience directly in one app, we are proud to welcome Apple TV+ and its popular and critically acclaimed shows, films and events to Prime Video."

Added Eddy Cue, Apple's senior vice president of services: "We want to make Apple TV+ and its award-winning library of series and films from the world's greatest storytellers available to as many viewers as possible. We're thrilled that Prime Video will now offer Apple TV+, giving viewers an incredible breadth of viewing options."

Prime Video currently offers more than a dozen subscription add-ons for streaming services like AMC+, Paramount+ and Max, all of which allow users to watch content from those streamers within the Prime Video platform. An Amazon Prime membership currently costs $14.99 per month (or $139 per year), or users can subscribe to Prime Video on its own for $8.99 per month.
