In Bosch: Legacy Final-Season Trailer, Maddie Wonders: Did Her Dad Cross A Line? — Watch

Maddie Bosch has big, lingering questions about her father, as seen in the first trailer for the third and final season of Bosch: Legacy.

At the close of Season 2, you'll remember, Maddie (Madison Lintz) learned that her kidnapper, Kurt Dockweiler, died in prison of an overdose — likely murder via forced heroin injection. The finale ended with Maddie answering a collect call, on her dad's phone, from inmate Preston Borders, who reported, "Tell your father that I did what he wanted.... Dockweiler. Tell him I took care of it." Shellshocked, Maddie could barely utter, "Dad, what did you do?" when Harry (Titus Welliver) got back home. (Watch the new trailer above.)

Bosch: Legacy will begin its end on Thursday, March 27, with the Prime Video release of the first four episodes. The crime drama will then drop two episodes a week, with the series finale landing on April 17.

Prime Video previously released a franchise retrospective of sorts, which you can watch below:

In Season 3 of Bosch: Legacy — which is based on Michael Connelly's novels Desert Star (2022) and The Black Ice (1993) — the murder investigation of Kurt Dockweiler brings dangerous secrets to light and threatens to ruin the lives of the three principal characters: Harry Bosch (Welliver), Honey "Money" Chandler (Mimi Rogers), and Harry's daughter Maddie Bosch (Lintz). "The disappearance of a family haunts Harry Bosch and forces him to confront the limits of justice," reads the official synopsis. Meanwhile, in a hotly contested race, Honey is poised to become the next District Attorney of Los Angeles, and Maddie gets entangled in a series of violent follow-home robberies.

The returning cast for Bosch: Legacy's swan song includes Stephen A. Chang (as Maurice "Mo" Bassi), Denise Sanchez (Det. Reina Vasquez), Scott Klace (Sgt. John Mankiewicz), Gregory Scott Cummins (Det. "Crate" Moore), Troy Evans (Det. "Barrel" Johnson), Paul Calderon (Det. Jimmy Robertson), Celestino Corneille (DEA Agent Charlie Hovan) and Chris Browning (Preston Borders).

New for this season, meanwhile, are Tommy Martinez (Good Trouble) as Albert Torres, Andrea Cortés (Mayans MC) as Victoria Hernandez, Orla Brady (Into the Badlands) as Siobhan Murphy, Michael Reilly Burke (Griselda) as Finbar McShane, Dale Dickey (Claws) as Sheila Walshand Chris Bauer (Heels) as Sheriff Deputy Jack Garrity.

Additionally, Maggie Q (NikitaDesignated Survivor) will make her debut as Detective Renée Ballard ahead of her own spinoff's Fall 2025 release.

"What an amazing run it has been. I could not have asked for a better cinematic adaptation of my work," Connelly said in a statement. "Led by Titus Welliver and showrunners Eric Overmyer and Tom Bernardo, and a great partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, I think we defined the start of the streaming era with the best detective show ever."
