Emma Thompson Searches For A Missing Child In Apple TV+'s Down Cemetery Road — Watch Trailer
Apple TV+ has set a date for Emma Thompson's first investigation.
The Oscar winner stars as private investigator Zoë Boehm in Down Cemetery Road, which premieres Wednesday, Oct. 29 on the streamer with its first two episodes. Episodes will debut weekly after that, leading up to the Dec. 10 finale.

Thompson is joined by The Affair's Ruth Wilson, who plays Sarah Tucker, a woman who becomes obsessed with finding a missing child in the aftermath of a suburban house explosion. Sarah "enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm," per the official synopsis, and "Zoë and Sarah suddenly find themselves in a complex conspiracy that reveals people long believed dead are still among the living, while the living are fast joining the dead."
Down Cemetery Road is based on a book series by British novelist Mick Herron, who also wrote the books that inspired Apple TV+'s Slow Horses. (Morwenna Banks, a writer for Slow Horses, will pen the Down Cemetery Road adaptation.) There are four books in Herron's Zoë Boehm series, for the record, so we could see more of Thompson in the role if Down Cemetery Road proves to be a success.
