Angelica Ross Urges Her Fans Not To 'Joke About Violence' Toward Emma Roberts In Wake Of Transphobia Allegations

Hours after accusing Emma Roberts of transphobic behavior on the set of American Horror Story: 1984, trans actress Angelica Ross is making "something absolutely clear" to her fans. "I appreciate the support, but please do not joke about violence towards Emma," she posted on X (fka Twitter) Wednesday morning. "Joke about her being held accountable. Now that's funny."

As we reported, Ross alleged in an Instagram live video that she experienced a toxic, racist and transphobic work environment while on the set of AHS: 1984, seemingly taking direct aim at Roberts. Ross insinuates that Roberts once told the director John J. Gray, "Angelica's being mean," to which he replied, "OK ladies, that's enough. Let's get back to work." Ross continued, "And she then looks at me and goes, 'Don't you mean lady?'"

Ross alleges that her co-star then covered her mouth and turned away. "I'm standing there looking her deadass in the damn [camera] trying to process [what] the f–k she just said," Ross said. "I'm like, 'If I say something, it's going to be me that's the problem,' and I know this because there was someone who spoke up about what she was doing and they got repercussions from it. Not her! They did." (Watch Ross tell the story in the video here.)

TVLine has reached out to FX and Emma Roberts' team for comment.

Ross chose to stop speaking to Roberts for the rest of the shoot (aside from filming the rest of their scenes together), adding that the actress had been playing "mind games with everybody on the set."

Ross said she initially "thought things were going great" between the two on set. Roberts, Ross claims, had allegedly pointed out a set of racist t-shirts that a crew member was wearing on set. Phrases on the shirts in question said, "Build That Wall" and "I Don't Kneel," among others, the actress continued. That crew member was allegedly outside Ross' window working on a particular scene that involved Ross and Roberts' characters driving away from the season's killer.

Ross' latest comments come two days after she accused AHS boss Ryan Murphy of leaving her "on read" after he initially contacted her about an AHS season featuring an all-Black cast, which resulted in lost opportunities for her.
