The Legend Of Vox Machina Renewed For Final Season — Plus, Mighty Nein Spinoff Gets Prime Video Release Date
Prime Video has renewed The Legend of Vox Machina for a fifth and final season. The pickup was announced Thursday at San Diego Comic-Con, well ahead of the animated series' Season 4 premiere in 2026.
What's more, the streamer revealed that Vox Machina spinoff The Mighty Nein will debut Wednesday, Nov. 19 (more on that below).
"A huge congratulations to our creative collaborators at Critical Role and Titmouse for bringing the incredible story of The Legend of Vox Machina to life for our global Prime Video customers," Amazon MGM Studios' head of animation Melissa Wolfe said in a statement. "Achieving five seasons is a significant milestone for everyone involved, and we can't wait for fans to experience what we have planned for the epic fifth and final season of The Legend of Vox Machina on Prime Video."
Added executive producers Sam Riegel and Travis Willingham: "It's so rare for any television series to get to tell a complete story, beginning to end, exactly as it was envisioned. We're so grateful to our fans, the critters, our partners at Prime Video, and the original Kickstarter backers for bringing this show to life, and turning the numbskulls of Vox Machina into animation legends."
The Vox Machina voice ensemble consists of Riegel and Willingham, and fellow EPs Laura Bailey (The Last of Us: Part II), Taliesin Jaffe (World of Warcraft), Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us), Liam O'Brien (Marvel's Avengers), Matthew Mercer (Baldur's Gate 3) and Marisha Ray (Fallout 76). The Mighty Nein, meanwhile, "follows a group of fugitives and outcasts, bound by secrets and scars," according to the official logline. "But when a powerful arcane relic known as 'The Beacon' falls into dangerous hands, they must learn to work together to save the realm and stop reality itself from unraveling."
The voice cast includes Mark Strong (Nine Perfect Strangers), Alan Cumming (The Traitors), Tim McGraw (1883), Anika Noni Rose (Princess and the Frog), Ming-Na Wen (The Mandalorian), Auli'i Cravalho (Moana), Rahul Kohli (iZombie), Robbie Daymond (Date Everything!) and Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation).
