R.I.P., Ozzy Osbourne: Kelly Osbourne Pays Tribute To Her Rock Legend Dad ('I Lost The Best Friend I Ever Had')

Ozzy Osbourne's daughter Kelly is remembering her rock legend dad following the news of the Black Sabbath frontman's death on Tuesday.

Kelly penned a brief but heartfelt tribute to her father on Instagram on Thursday. "I feel so unhappy," she wrote. "I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had," she added, along with a broken-heart emoji.

Osbourne — who was nicknamed the "Prince of Darkness" — died at the age of 76 following a battle with Parkinson's disease. He revealed the diagnosis in January 2020, and announced his retirement from touring three years later.

"It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," the Osbourne family said in a statement to the BBC. "He was with his family and surrounded by love."

The Osbourne family became a reality-TV fixture in the early aughts, with Osbourne and wife Sharon appearing alongside Kelly and son Jack in the MTV unscripted series The Osbournes. It aired for four seasons — and a total of 52 episodes — from 2002 to 2005.

Osbourne's death comes fewer than three weeks after he reunited with Black Sabbath for his final live performance in his hometown of Birmingham, England. The concert was recorded for theatrical release; Back to the Beginning: Ozzy's Final Bow is due out in 2026.
