Co-created, directed and co-written by Nick Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, Platonic Season 2 "picks up with everyone's favorite pair of best friends as they contend with new midlife hurdles, including work, weddings and partners in crises," according to the official logline. "The duo tries their best to be each other's rock — but sometimes rocks break things."

In addition to the aforementioned duo, who reprise their roles as BFFs Will and Sylvia, the Season 2 ensemble includes fellow returnees Luke Macfarlane (as Sylvia's husband Charlie) and Carla Gallo (as Katie), while Saturday Night Live trio Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett, and Milo Manheim (Disney's Zombies franchise) all guest-star in undisclosed roles.

Two episodes will drop on premiere day, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through Oct. 1, for a total of 10 episodes. Watch a trailer below, which reunites Rogen with fellow Freaks and Geeks vet Sam McMurray — FKA Vic Schweiber:

Rogen also stars in Apple TV+'s The Studio, which is competing in 23 categories at the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards. The showbiz satire was previously renewed for Season 2.
