SkyMed Renewed For Season 4 — Who On The Cast Is Confirmed To Return?
SkyMed will keep flying, now that Paramount+ has renewed the medical drama for Season 4, TVLine has learned.
The good news comes four weeks after Season 3 dropped Stateside on the streamer, and three months after the Season 3 finale aired up north on CBC.
Production on the eight-episode Season 4 will begin later this summer, to stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States, Canada, Latin America and Brazil, UK, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
SkyMed follows "the triumphs and tribulations of young medics and pilots who fly air ambulances across the remote skies of Northern Canada, weaving together intense journeys with jaw-dropping medical rescues 20,000 feet in the air in the most remote conditions," the official synopsis tells us.
The Season 3 cast included series regulars Natasha Calis (Nurses) as Hayley, Morgan Holmstrom (Day of the Dead) as Crystal, Praneet Akilla (Nancy Drew) as Chopper, Mercedes Morris (Ghosts) as Lexi, Thomas Elms (The Boys in the Boat) as Nowak, Kheon Clarke (Riverdale) as Tristan, Sydney Kuhne (Ginny & Georgia) as Stef and Aaron Ashmore (The Rookie Ginny & Georgia) as Wheezer. The recurring cast was comprised of "Ace" Aason Nadjiwon (The Twilight Zone) as Bode, Emilia McCarthy (Zombies) as Madison, Anthony Grant (V-Wars) as TJ and Nicola Correia-Damude (Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent) as Marianne, while Braeden Clarke (Outlander) guest-starred as Jeremy.
Calis, Holmstrom, Morris, Kuhne and Ashmore are thus far confirmed to return for Season 4; additional casting announcements will be made in the future.
SkyMed was created by Julie Puckrin and inspired by her sister and brother-in-law, who met flying air ambulances. Puckrin serves as an executive producer alongside Gillian Hormel and Vanessa Piazza.
